Bring Macbeth to your School
With a run-time of 60 minutes, Rogue Shakespeare's Macbeth is designed to tour to local schools throughout the year. Our Macbeth employs a variety of theatrical devices such as traditional folklore storytelling techniques and Appalachian inspired music to connect Macbeth to the cultural heritage of our viewers. We also employ the practice of cross gender casting, women playing men’s roles and men playing women’s roles, in order to explore the play’s themes of ambition and gender. In our production of Macbeth, the major characters of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Duncan, Malcolm, Banquo, and Macduff are each played by a woman.
